This course has five objectives:

1. Providing information on the nature of alcohol and drug abuse in the workplace and its harmful effects for everyone;
2. Providing specific information on common drugs of abuse including alcohol;
3. Providing information on the effects of alcohol and drug abuse on behavior and performance;
4. Providing education about myths and misconceptions of drug and alcohol abuse;
5. Providing information on treatment, recovery from addiction, and appropriate ways to get help either for yourself or possibly someone you know.
